Both Sides Have Common Ground on Moving Forward with Civic Center Upgrades

The opposing sides of the Civic Center expansion debate reached an agreement following the defeat of the expansion project by Rapid City voters. According to a Rapid City Journal article, current plans are now to get the Barnett Center up to ADA compliance, minimize the effect the construction will have on events while it is taking place, and update the arena to make it more marketable for future events.
