Black Hills Area Candidates Make Final Entreaty to Voters

Voters in Rapid City and the surrounding areas will have several decisions to make on the election of next year's state legislature. The Rapid City Journal has assembled what the various candidates view as their top issues and their reasons for running. On the ballot, but not included in the article is Representative Dan Dryden. Dryden passed away earlier this year. The governor appointed David Lust to fill out Dryden's term; if Dryden wins re-election, Lust will also serve in his place in the 2017 legislature.

Candidates for Rapid City's senators and legislatures are listed on the Election Information page. All articles about this year's election are linked in the Black Hills Knowledge Network's online news archive.
