BH National Forest Advisory Board to Meet Jan. 2

The citizen advisory committee to the Black Hills National Forest will hear updates on the battle against mountain pine beetle and the travel management plan.

The National Forest Advisory Board consists of 32 members who represent a variety of interests.

The Black Hills National Forest Advisory Committee will meet the afternoon of Wednesday, Jan. 2, at the Mystic Ranger District Office on South Highway 16, according to a Forest Service news release.

Agenda items include an update of the Mountain Pine Beetle Response Project, a review of travel management plan goals and implementation for the purpose of planning fee schedules and programs for the year 2014.

The meeting will be open to the public.
