The City of Belle Fourche selected Butte County Sheriff’s Deputy Marlyn Pomrenke to serve as its police chief, reports the Black Hills Pioneer. Pomrenke has worked in law enforcement for over 30 years.
Prior to his work with Butte County Pomrenke served as the police chief in Estelline South Dakota for fifteen years. Pomrenke also worked at the Utah State Prison. He began his career as a security policeman in the U.S. Air Force at Randolph Air Force Base in Texas.
