Following a 6-0 vote, the Rapid City Council released the report on the investigation of Alderman Bill Clayton. The Rapid City Journal notes that Alderwoman Charity Doyle, the subject of alleged attacks by Clayton, did not vote, and the three alderman who had asked to be codefendants were not present. KOTA's report stated that Clayton apologized to Taisha Walker, a reporter who was the source of one complaint.
The report compiled by City Attorney Joel Landeen outlines the complaints against Alderman Clayton along with interviews with witnesses. He also recommended the council review the Code of Conduct as the current code might be too broad.
