The Rapid City Regional Airport Board of Directors passed a $16 million budget for 2018, but is still looking to secure grant funding for a further $11 million in upgrades. The Rapid City Journal reports that the upgrades would include upgraded escalators, an in-line baggage system, and improvements to the sewage system. It also approved a promotional budget aimed at getting more tourists to fly to the Black Hills.
