Rapid City Area Road Construction


  • West Rapid Street closed between Canal Street and Oshkosh Street until August 25
  • Disc Course and Soccer Field parking lot off Omaha Street closed to September 1
  • Joker Street closed from Poker Drive to Ennen Drive from August 7 to September 11
  • Mallow Street closed from Boegel Street to High Street from August 10 to September 15
  • Anamosa closed from N. Maple Avenue to Midway Street from May 11 to October 15
  • South Berry Pine Road closed from Pinedale Drive to W. Main Street from August 1 to November 12
  •  Seger Drive from 143rd Avenue to the intersection of N. La Crosse and East Mall Drive, from March 21 to November 17
  •  Baldwin Street from Wedgewood Drive to South Berry Pine Road,  from March 27 to November 17


  • Haines Avenue has traffic control from Cobalt to Auburn Drive from July 25 to August 25
  • Radar Hill Raod and Marcus Lane intersection under traffic control until September 29
  • Powderhorn Drive restricted to one lane from Red Rock Canyon to Chapel Valley Road from August 10 to September 22
  • Southside Drive, water main installation along side road,  construction from March 6 to November 17
  • Prestwick Road restricted from Muirfield Drive to Meadowlark Drive from August 14 to December 28



  • South Side Drive, Dunn Road and Radar Hill Road have water main construction from January 31 to August 31
  • Mall Drive is under construction from Dyess Avenue to Elk Vale Road from August 9 to September 22
  • Hansen Lane, Aurora Drie, Carl Avenue, S. Pitch Drive and Avenue A have construction from July 31 to October 31
  • Mount Rushmore Road (8th Street)   construction from  March 6  to September 2017
  • I-90/Silver Street reconstruction Silver Street is closed to traffic until completion of project, existing ramps along I-90 are closed to traffic
     Completion date: October 27, 2017
