The Rapid City Vision Fund

In the 1970s, voters approved a 0.5 percent increase in the general sales and use tax to pay for a new Civic Center.

In the 1990s voters passed an ordinance to create Vision 2012 to fund building projects in Rapid City. See also the history of the Sales and Use Tax from 1972-1977.
