The Wall School District has a grade, middle and high school all located in Wall, and a kindergarten through fifth grade country school called Big White Country School.
Big White reported six students for fall 2013 enrollment. Students are taught by Lorayna Papousek. (605) 279-2156.
The majority of Wall students – 224 for school year 2013-2014 – are white. Twenty-five students in the district are of American Indian descent.
In the district, 28.2 percent of students at the high school level take advantage of free and reduced lunches, while 30 percent of students at the grade school qualify for free and reduced lunches.
Under the previous No Child Left Behind rating system, nearly 90 percent of Wall students in the 2012-2013 school year were proficient in reading and 89 percent were proficient in math.
In 2013-2014, the state began incorporating a new accountability system using multiple indicators. It will be in full implementation the 2014-2015 school year.
Wall’s Superintendent is Dennis Rieckman (Dennis.firstname.lastname@example.org) who also serves as the Wall High School principal.
The Wall School District Board of Education meets at 7 p.m. the second Wednesday of each month, in the Wall School Library. Agendas and minutes are posted on the school website. Current school board members are:

Wall's high school graduation rate was 93.7 percent in 2011, lower than the 100 percent rate posted in 2010 but higher than the statewide average of 83.3 percent.
During the 2010-2011 academic year, the Wall School District's fall enrollment was 254 in grades K-12. With a 1.6 percent dropout rate, the district graduated 31 students. Twenty-three students took the ACT exam. The average composite score was 21.0.
