Tourism Helped Boost Black Hills Economies in 2011
Tourism spending rose 8.8 percent in Butte County in 2011, according to the recently released annual report from the South Dakota Department of Tourism. Custer County (up 5.7 percent) and Pennington County (4.1 percent) also saw gains that were well above the statewide average increase of 1.5 percent.
